Paeng leaves 1 dead, over 111K people displaced in Bicol

The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) in Bicol recorded a fatality as well as one missing and four injured persons as a result of Tropical Storm Paeng's onslaught on Saturday.

Gremil Alexis Naz, OCD-Bicol spokesperson, said in a report on Sunday Ronito Arguelles, 60, drowned in floodwaters at the height of the storm in Mandaon, Masbate.

Jasper Montañez, of Mercedes, Camarines Norte, was declared missing while four persons were injured in Sorsogon City.

"The reported dead and missing are subjects for validation by the Management of the Dead and the Missing cluster led by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) while the injured will be validated by the Department of Health," Naz said.
