October 31 not a holiday - Palace.

MANILA -- Malacanang has no intentions of proclaiming Oct. 31, 2023 as a non-working holiday, Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Cheloy Garafil said on Tuesday.

Citing Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, Garafil said that there are no plans to declare it as a non-working day.

Last year, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. declared October 31 as a special non-working holiday.

The said date is also not considered as a non-working day in 2024.

For the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections, Marcos declared October 30 as a special non-working day.
