Comelec: Proclaiming BSKE winners w/ disqualification raps may be stopped.

Commission on Elections (Comelec) has approved a resolution allowing the suspension of the proclamation of 2023 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) winners with pending disqualification cases.

'The Commission resolved to approve the suspension of proclamation of named respondents with pending petitions 1) to Deny Due Course or to Cancel Certificate of Candidacy (COC); 2) to Declare a Nuisance Candidate; and 3) for Disqualification until further orders from the Commission,' a memorandum signed by Comelec chairperson George Garcia stated.

The poll body then reiterated its policy under Section 600 of Comelec Resolution Number 10924.
